Day 2: Salt Lake City This morning enjoy a Salt Lake City Tour featuring the unique downtown area, State Capitol, Temple Square and the This is the Place Monument, where Brigham Young envisioned the building of the Mormon City. At midday enjoy a Tabernacle Organ Recital, an uplifting musical event produced by thousands of organ pipes. This afternoon travel to see the Great Salt Lake. This 20,000 square mile lake, the second saltiest in the world, is also a wildlife refuge attracting millions of migratory birds every year to the ten islands. Day 3: Salt Lake City - Jackson, WY Today travel north into Wyoming, the soul of the rugged West, boasting spectacular mountains, silver streams, oil wells, grasslands, cowboys and warm hospitable people. This afternoon arrive in the resort and cowboy town of Jackson for a three night stay. Visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art which features 14 galleries filled with paintings, sculptures and other artwork. The museum sits on a cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge, the building seems to come from the earth itself, capturing the natural beauty of the surroundings. The artists represented range from early American tribes to contemporary artists devoted to nature. Meal: (B) Overnight: Jackson
Day 4: Jackson - Grand Teton National Park Today enjoy a visit to the spectacular Grand Teton National Park. Towering more than a mile above the valley of Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton rises to about 14,000 feet and supports a dozen mountain glaciers. The Teton Mountain Range is one of the youngest ranges on the continent. Enjoy a scenic Jenny Lake Cruise, the popular lake is located at the base of the Cathedral group, the main Teton peaks. During your cruise you will learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area, and have ample photo opportunities. Return to Jackson where this evening you will enjoy an old west atmosphere at the Bar J Chuckwagon featuring a hearty dinner and entertainment. Meals: (B,D) Overnight: Jackson
Day 5: Jackson - Yellowstone National Park This morning head north to visit Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park established in 1872. The amazing park features over 10,000 hot springs, thundering waterfalls, geysers and endless forests. Spend much of the day admiring the incredible scenery including Yellowstone Lake and keeping an eye out for wildlife. The park is home to an astounding array of wildlife such as elk, bear and buffalo. Of course no visit is complete without a stop at the park's most famous feature, Old Faithful Geyser that shoots a plume of steam skyward about every 90 minutes. Enjoy time to wander, shop or have a bite to eat in this area around the historic Old Faithful Inn. Later return to Jackson and the enjoy the evening on your own. Meals: (B) Overnight: Jackson
Day 6: Jackson - Park City, Utah Today travel to Park City, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics and one of the most beautiful resort areas in North America. Visit the Utah Olympic Park and enjoy a movie that features the Game's highlights. Next visit the museum filled with memorabilia from the Olympic Games. In the city center, enjoy a stroll down Main Street filled with over 64 historic buildings, charming shops, galleries and boutiques. Tonight enjoy aFarewell Dinner with your fellow travelers. Day 7: Park City - Fly Home Transfer to the Salt Lake City airport for your flight home filled withwonderful memories of your Yellowstone & the Wild West Tour. Meal: (B)
