Nov 4 – Depart from Dulles Airport at 10.20pm on United Airlines.  Dinner will be served shortly after departure.

Nov 5 – Arrive Dublin Airport at 9.05am approx.  After collecting our luggage and clearing customs, our driver/guide, Dave Spillane will escort us to the motor coach.  Drive south stopping at Kilashee Manor for tea & scones and an opportunity to freshen up.   Check-in to Kinitty Castle with time to rest or take a stroll through the grounds.  Gather in the bar this evening before a dinner and enjoy a welcome drink.  Overnight: Kinitty Castle, Offaly (D)

Nov 6 – This morning visit the magnificent Formal Gardens at Birr Castle and the Science Centre, both rich in amazing feats of science and engineering as well as rare trees and flowers, wonderful wildlife, and walks along peaceful river. The interactive galleries reveal the wonders of early photography, engineering and astronomy. Next we will travel south for a guided tour of the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary, a large mound of limestone bristling with ancient fortifications including an ancient cathedral, chapel and castle, some of which date back to the 12th Century. The Rock sits on high and boasts a spectacular view of the surrounding country.  It is said that St. Patrick baptized the King of Munster here.  Return to Kinitty.  Overnight: Kinitty Castle, Offaly (B, D)

Nov  7 –  This morning A short journey to the town of Kilbeggan for a guided tour of the distillery. The intriguing origins and inter-linked history of Tullamore Dew, the town and canal are celebrated through a series of audio-visual presentations, exhibits, models and tableaux. Learn about life in a small Irish town in the 1800's and how whiskey was made. At the end of the tour enjoy a complimentary glass of Tullamore Dew. Continue our journey travelling west to Galway city.  Enjoy a couple of hours at leisure in the city before checking into Glenlo Abbey. Dinner this evening will be served in the River Room Restaurant. Overnight: Glenlo Abbey, Galway (B, D)

Nov 8 - Today we will travel west into the wild and wonderful Connemara area with gorgeous views of boglands and misty mountains. Stop at the Connemara History & Heritage Center which offers a unique insight into the history and heritage of this beautiful part of the West of Ireland. See how turf (peat) is cut and enjoy a scone making demonstration. The best part - sample some of the hot scones straight out of the oven!  As we pass through Moycullen, a brief stop at the Connemara Marble Factory with some time for shopping.  This evening enjoy a casual dining experience in the Oak Cellar. Overnight  Glenlo Abbey, Galway (B,D)

Nov 9 – This morning travel through the Burren, a unique landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone. Stop at the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Walk to the cliff edge and breathe in the fresh Irish air while taking in the spectacular views of the ocean.  After a stop for lunch we will check into the majestic Dromoland Castle.  Ancestral home of the O'Briens who were the Kings of Thomond and whose lineage goes back 1,000 years to Brian Boru, the only High King of Ireland. You will have time to appreciate the natural beauty as you stroll through the peaceful Dromoland Estate. Dinner this evening in the Earl of Thomond restaurant, this is sure to be a highlight of our trip! Overnight: Dromoland Castle, Clare (B,D)

Nov 10 – After a leisurely breakfast depart Dromoland Castle and travel directly to Ireland's capital city of Dublin.  On arrival enjoy a city tour featuring elegant Georgian squares and houses, buildings of historical importance including The Bank of Ireland and Dublin Castle as well as the statue of Molly Malone on Grafton Street.   This afternoon explore this fascinating city on foot.  Perhaps a visit to Trinity College one of the oldest centers of learning, dating to the 16th century and home to the 'Book of Kells'.  Or a stroll down Grafton Street with wonderful shopping. The city also has many fine museums and wonderful pubs. Dinner tonight will be at the Citron Restaurant at your hotel. Overnight: Fitzwilliam Hotel, Dublin (B, D)

Nov 11 – After breakfast depart our hotel for the Airport.  Depart on United Airlines at 12.10pm. We will pre-clear customs and emigration in Dublin which makes for a very smooth arrival into the US.  Arrive into Dulles International Airport at 3.25pm. Slán abhaile! – Safe home! (B)
