Take a private tour of SPRING POINT LEDGE LIGHTHOUSE that is not normally open to the public. The lighthouse is accessible via a granite jetty (some uneven footing). See how the lighthouse keepers lived as you walk through the rooms to the top of the two story lighthouse. Walk out on the ledge at the top for a beautiful view of the Portland waterfront. Anyone unable to navigate the granite jetty will tour the nearby park with lighthouse and WWII shipbuilder’s memorial. Travel to FREEPORT. There will be free time for lunch on your own. Let the FIREPLACE FEAST begin! Relax by the fieldstone fireplace as the crackling fire roasts your prime rib “to a turn” by rotating it slowly over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs. This jack is the only known 1700’s antique roasting jack that was used to roast fowl and beef in New England that is still in use. The flavor of the fireplace roasted prime rib is unsurpassed.
